I tend to write lengthy articles that are informative and educational in nature, but this time I want to keep this sweet and short.

I love children. I love my job. Here are some of the reasons I love these things, my top ten if you will:

- Being greeted by a little squeal of delight – especially because this is not an everyday occurrence

- Hearing my charge finally say my name after patiently waiting months – especially in that cute toddler way

- I get to play cars for hours – and everything is a racetrack

- 80% of my daily fun consists of tickling and wrestling

- The only way I have enough patience to listen to “The Gummy Bear Song” ten times in a row is because I get to see my charge do the same disco finger dance ten times in a row

- Can I even tell you about how much more mac and cheese I get to eat these days?!

- I do not have to dress up because I will most likely get the said mac and cheese, along with some boogers, on me

- I never, ever, have a bad day at work…even when I get bit

- I get to influence and teach another human being – I will use my powers for good, mostly

- I have real, meaning relationships with the people I work with/for

Plus one for good luck and the best one of all…

-Each day when I leave work I get a hug from the cutest little boy :-)
