The concept behind Smooth Away is that you do not need to wax or shave off hair. You can essentially “sand” it off with special pads that are mildly abrasive.
It sounds a bit strange, but I can tell you that it *does* work. With about six rubs per area, the hair comes off and the skin is much smoother than with a razor shave and far less irritated than with a wax. In fact, the mild exfoliation effect that the pads have leaves your legs feeling really smooth. When used with the cream that comes with it, the hair takes longer to regrow than with shaving.
The only drawback is that it is more labor intensive than shaving or waxing, especially on curved body parts.
