I am embarassed to admit that when this product, which Smashies sent to me to review, arrived, I showed it to my husband and said “I’m not sure about this. It’s just applesauce. Our son doesn’t even like applesauce.”
Um, ladies and gents, I was so wrong on this one.
My son loved these so much he actually threw a giant temper tantrum when the first one ran out. They taste fantastic, and the design is perfect as well. Kids can easily hold them, and the screw on cap screws back on for when you need to put a pause on the apple sauce fun-fest. You can easily toss them in your purse or diaper bag, and we didn’t even need a single wet wipe to do damage control during the consumption process.
While my son does like fruit and vegetables in small doses, he does not like apples. He never has. But he loves these. Smashies are organic and have no added sugar, but frankly, I was so delighted that my son ate the equivalent of an entire apple (25% of his Vitamin C for the day), I wasn’t too focused on the wholesome ingredients. It was an apple! All at once! In my son!
It’s amazing what milestones you celebrate as a parent.
I’ve already bought another case of ten.
