Did I mention the deals? The bargains? The massive collection of savings?
The holiday shopping season is upon us, but in a unique way this year. Vendors are aware that consumers are holding their dollars more tightly these days, and are running large sales well before Thanksgiving to inspire us shoppers to loosen our grip on our cash.
At the same time, there is also a tremendous amount of viral marketing going on in an effort to gain word-of-mouth brand recognition for products. I have been amazed at all the free contests and giveaways going on right now in the blogosphere. It is somewhat overwhelming. In the next few weeks, I will attempt to organize it into something useful for you. I can’t think of a better place to start such a fun topic that at MomDot.
Momdot.com is a great site that runs several weekly giveaways you should put on your Friday discount shopping tour of the Internet. Right now, in addition to their regular contests, MomDot is hosting a Christmas of Dreams contest that is definitely worth your time to enter. Check out the list of sponsors below who have donated prizes to this contest so far. It’s tremendous.
I clicked around for a while on the sponsors links and was impressed. There are some names that are familiar: Leapfrog is a great brand, and I have wanted to try their Alphabet Zoo for a while. Sassy is also a brand we love; my son is still amused by their baby mirror that has been in his crib since day one.
Other things were new and surprising, such as Shi Shu Home’s blanket in bamboo. I love bamboo. I love what you can do with bamboo. I once gave my little brother a birthday present composed entirely of things made from bamboo. I was also pretty sold on the blue and brown BabyLegs and the Lollipop Book Club sets for 2-4 yr olds.
There is much more to look at, but those five sites were my favorites. I love contests that give me something new and fresh to enjoy, and this list certainly does. Enjoy!
